Artist Biography

Adam Bryant Chittenden is a fine art photographer, graphic designer and filmmaker. He has worked professionally as an artist for over 4 years in Blue Hill, Maine exploring humankind's relationship with the natural world.


In 2006, he exhibited his photography work in a group-show at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art. In 2007, he showcased two of his short films in a collaborative performance with Grammy Award-winning musician Paul Sullivan. In 2008, to further cultivate his artistic sensibilities, he enrolled in the Consciousness Studies Program at the Rudolf Steiner College in Sacromento, CA and studied alchemy, art and Goethean Science. Most recently, one of his new photogrpahic works is due to be published by North Atlantic Press on the front cover of Robert Sardello’s new book, ‘Steps on the Stone Path' end of Summer 2009.


Adam pursued his interests in photography, film and design at the University of Maine, Orono where he graduated in 2004 with a BA in New Media. Adam sought additional studies in fine art photography and printing under the mentorship of John Paul Caponigro.


Currently, Adam is working to facilitate collaborative performance with musicians exploring image and music, further his alchemical studies at the School of Spiritual Psychology in Benson, North Carolina and publish a children's book.
